Sundhed og Omsorg (Health and Care) in Norddjurs Municipality covers a wide range of services and functions that together ensure care, rehabilitation, health promotion, and support for citizens of all ages.
We work from a rehabilitative approach, aiming to help citizens live active and independent lives. We have approximately 1,000 employees with many different professional backgrounds who work together to carry out several different tasks.
The proportion of older citizens in the Danish population is expected to increase in the coming years, while a shortage of employees in the elderly care sector is anticipated. Therefore, we need more people, also from abroad, who can help carry out the tasks within the health and care sector. This includes both professionally trained healthcare staff and unskilled workers.
There are also opportunities to pursue a healthcare education while working and receiving a salary during your education. Our nursing homes and home care services in particular need more staff.
Sundhed og Omsorg operates several nursing homes across the municipality, as well as home care services that cover the entire area.
The nursing homes are home to citizens who can no longer manage everyday life in their own homes. Here, they receive support and care in a safe environment. Home care consists of personal care and practical assistance or support with tasks in the citizen’s own home.
Employees in home care travel by car or bike to citizens within their assigned area.
